Geneva, Switzerland, March 2022 – Vestitel, a Next Generation Telecom Service Provider in Bulgaria and Greece, and OrbiWise, a leading provider of advanced technologies to the IoT Industry featuring LoRaWAN®, announce their strategic partnership to boost the deployment of a nationwide LoRaWAN Network in Bulgaria. The partnership will initially focus on gas metering with future developments in the Smart Utilities and Smart City markets.
With the partnership, the companies aim to build a state-of-the-art LoRaWAN® network. The first solution for advanced gas metering is currently being deployed, with the aim of covering the whole territory of Bulgaria. Several hundreds of gateways and 100K gas meters will be installed and connected by the end of 2023. Additionally, Vestitel will build a LoRaWAN network in the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki in Greece by September 2022.
